Even Better Than The Real Thing...

About Steve E
It
probably all started going wrong back in 1984 when my brother took me
to see AC/DC, and then Van Halen some months later, at the Meadowlands.
After that I needed a guitar, so my parents bought me a cheap acoustic
and I started lessons at a local music shop. I soon convinced them to
buy me an electric, which they did in October, but my mom wouldn’t
let me open or play it until Christmas (torture). You might even see
it at a show if I feel stupid enough to bring it out.
I grew up with my brother’s strong influence, always hearing him
play Van Halen, Aerosmith, Kansas, and Sabbath records. (I really thought
David Lee Roth was the devil on Runnin’ With The Devil). While
most kids were hanging our after school and getting laid, I spent my
high school years in my bedroom for 6 hours a day playing the same VH
stuff over and over again. After I began making money I was infected
with the disease of purchasing gear, which I still suffer from today,
without any known treatment.
Within the last decade I’ve played with many cover bands, which
has shaped my musical persona. I think I’ve also developed quite
a knack for “filling in” with other bands, (Currently I
have been subbing in for Dog Voices and playing with Panic Attack).
Although
it’s changed quite a bit, I still enjoy playing the club/cover
scene. Playing guitar with Too Many Godz has allowed me to explore and
create more diverse guitar parts. This band pushes the limits what a
local cover band can do. Mike and Steve have created a strong reputation
and I hope to bring the Godz to a new level. Hope to see you soon.
